- Writing the offer — the TREC contract in plain language, earnest money, the option fee, and the terms that matter besides price.

- The option period and inspection — what the option period buys you, what an inspection covers, and how repairs get negotiated.

- Appraisal, title, and insurance — the appraisal's role, the title commitment and survey, and what Texas homeowners insurance has to account for.
